Sarah Pidgeon, Paul Anthony Kelly, and their co-stars graced the red carpet at Carnegie Hall, ready to share their journey with the world. The show, a dramatic retelling of the relationship between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, faced initial backlash over costume and styling choices.
But here's where it gets controversial... Kelly, who embodies Kennedy on screen, admits, "It made us work harder." He explains how the criticism became a catalyst for improvement, driving them to perfect every detail.
In June, Ryan Murphy released test photos that sparked a fashion debate. Danya Issawi, a fashion writer for The Cut, argued that the costumes lacked authenticity. Murphy, however, clarified that these were merely test shots, not the final look.
"That's not the wig, that's not the purse," Murphy told Puck. He released the images to give the paparazzi a taste, hoping to reduce the pressure on his actors.
