🇬🇷 Greece: Results from the First Semi-Final of Sing For Greece
The first semi-final of the highly anticipated Sing for Greece 2026 has just concluded, revealing that seven talented participants have successfully qualified for the Grand Final, which is set to take place on February 15.
Kicking off the selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, Sing for Greece 2026 took center stage tonight. The event was hosted by the dynamic trio of Giorgos Kapoutzidis, Betty Maggira, and Katerina Vrana. The evening began with a spectacular performance by Klavdia, who represented Greece in Eurovision 2025 and will grace the stage once more during the final.
A total of 14 acts showcased their skills, competing for the support of the Greek audience, who ultimately selected seven performances to advance to the grand finale. The outcomes of the semi-final were as follows:

Overall, across both semi-finals, a total of seven entries will earn their place in the final lineup. The second semi-final is scheduled for Friday, February 13, where another group of 14 competitors will strive for the chance to qualify for the pivotal final on February 15. Notably, the event will feature guest performances, including a live rendition of Antigoni's Eurovision entry "JALLA"—her first public performance of the song—as well as a special appearance by Tamta, who previously represented Cyprus in 2019.
Klavdia made a significant impact at Eurovision 2025 with her entry "Asteromata," achieving Greece’s best result in the contest since 2013 by finishing 6th overall with a total of 231 points. In this competition, Greece secured 8th place in the public vote as well as among the juries, receiving 12 points from juries in Australia, Cyprus, Israel, and Montenegro, along with 12 points from the televoters of Albania, Cyprus, and San Marino.

Greece made its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1974, represented by Marinella with the song "Krasi, thalassa kai t’agori mou," which landed in 11th place with 7 points. Just three years later, Greece achieved its first top 5 finish thanks to Paschalis, Marianna, Robert, and Bessy, who secured 5th place with "Mathima solfege." The year 2001 marked a breakthrough for Greece when Antique brought home the country's first top 3 placing with their hit "I Would Die For You," which resonated across Europe. A remarkable highlight came in 2005 when Helena Paparizou returned to the Eurovision stage as a solo act, clinching Greece’s first—and so far only—victory with her song "My Number One," which captured 230 points and outpaced Malta by 38 points.
